Top 10 Conservative Idiots #9: Love Potion Number Nein Edition [View all]

Top 10 Conservative Idiots #9: Love Potion Number Nein Edition

Welcome back to the Top 10 Conservative Idiots! Conservative idiots, you never fail to disappoint. Just as I was putting this edition together, I decided to move the Top 10 to Mondays instead of Wednesdays. And if you're looking for coverage of the Oregon bird sanctuary clusterfuck... don't worry, it's still unfolding and we're going to dive deep into the insanity surrounding this event in the next edition! Happy New Year and happy 2016 by the way! I hope everyone had a great New Year's, I celebrated by watching Motley Crue play their final show at Staples Center. It was truly a great show - the pyrotechnics were amazing, Tommy Lee's insane drum roller coaster got stuck half way through, but he pretty much had a good sense of humor about it, but everything was amazing. But this week we're going to uncover some voters who are going to turn out in droves in November and it's not a good thing by any stretch of the imagination!

Neo Nazism. Because regular Nazism is sooooooo 1942. You see thanks to Donald Trump, and I have pointed this out in several editions now, is that white supremacy is enjoying an *unprecedented* surge in popularity. There wasn't a lot of lunacy happening over the holidays but what we do have, we have a *LOT* of ground to cover. And I mean a lot. And gee who would have guessed that Donald Trump (1) is our returning champion? Well when the former “Grand Wizard” of the fucking Ku Klux Klan says that you're too radical for his tastes, you deserve the top spot! And some real psychiatrists and psychoanalysts were asked about what they think Trump's mental condition is, and the results are surprising. Second, we'll take a look at a potentially dangerous cocktail of Donald Trump supporters (2) which includes Neo Nazis and Infowars. And MSNBC (3) gives an absolutely shocking reason why they're giving Trump 24 hours a day coverage (spoiler alert!: $$$$$$!). Michigan governor Rick Snyder (4) is in deep shit over the state's toxic water crisis, particularly that of Flint, Michigan. Ted Cruz (5) is back in the TTCI and compares Democrats to illegal aliens, and well, fails extremely hard. Our returning champion for all things anti-environment, Jeb! (6) was absolutely trashed by the New Yorker for simply not giving a shit about the environment, proving once again that Jeb! can fix it, but he doesn't give a shit. Next we go to New Hampshire where state representative Josh Moore (7) thinks it's perfectly OK to harass breastfeeding mothers in public. I wonder what turns up on his Porn Hub searches? In the 8th slot we've got a trio of religious idiots (8) to tell you about including hate church pastor Kevin Swanson, who has an unusually unhealthy obsession with the sexual orientation of Harry Potter characters, and there's also that woman who claims to have redirected a tornado from her house because, Jesus. Meanwhile Mattel (9) introduces a new toy that encourages animal experimentation, not to mention gives parents a glimpse of the sound you'll hear at RNC headquarters when Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton wins in November! Rounding out the list, we're going to do something a bit different. If you saw the recent flick Kingsman: The Secret Service, we're going to take a look at a pair of real life incidents, and compare them to what happens in the movie, and see if it really is Samuel L. Jackson's Richmond Valentine (10) enacting his revenge! Finally, we're going to cap this edition with a tribute to one of heavy metal's best frontmen who sadly passed away during the holidays. Enjoy! And as always don't forget the key!

Donald Trump

Once again, Donald Trump is our reigning champion!! How do you feel about that Donald? “America is morally bankrupt and needs more winners like me!”. Well back in Idiots #7, I noted that Donald Trump and Russian shirtless dressage champion Vladimir Putin had become BFFs. And you know who else wants to be his BFF? Alex Jones. But we'll save that for the next entry. So what does that have to do with this entry? Well there's one person in the world who does not want to be BFFs with Donald Trump and that's former KKK “Grand Wizard” David Duke. By the way, why does the head of the KKK call himself a “grand wizard”? Are they just playing a really fucked up game of Dungeons & Dragons with us? Arch bishop burns cross, gains +5 racism! Arch bishop becomes arch grand wizard!

In an interview conducted on Dec. 17 that Duke labels “Fox interview” on his YouTube channel (it’s unclear who the interviewer is or if the interview aired), Duke praised Trump for giving people the courage to speak out, but was critical of his support of Israel.

“As far as what I see, according to the candidates that are out there now, Republicans and Democrats, I think he’s head and shoulders right now above the rest,” Duke said, noting he hadn’t officially endorsed Trump. “I don’t agree with everything he says, he speaks a little more, actually he speaks a little more, a lot more radically than I talk. And I think that’s a positive and negative.”

“It’s positive in the fact that there’s less political correctness and people are getting the courage to speak out,” Duke continued. “At the same time, I’m concerned that I don’t agree with all of his policies. I certainly don’t support the idea of America supporting the nation of Israel, which has committed terrorism against the United States of America, with the Lavon affair and the attack on the Liberty and the incredible treachery and the damage that was done by Israel with its spy Jonathan Pollard, who basically caused the death of hundreds of our operatives. I think, and I see this Jewish extremist, this basically Zionist, minority having enormous influence.”

Ya know, when the former head of the KKK calls you a “radical”, it might be time to tone down the rhetoric. Ya think? But oh no, Donald Trump doesn't work that way! In fact Vanity Fair polled several top psychiatrists and psychoanalysts, and came up with this theory as to what makes the Donald tick:

http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2015/11/donald-trump-narcissism-therapists

But for at least one mental-health professional, the Trump enigma, or should we say non-enigma, is larger than the bluster of the man whose own Web site calls him “the very definition of the American success story, continually setting the standards of excellence”—to this mind-set, Trump may be a kind of bellwether. Mr. Gardner said, “For me, the compelling question is the psychological state of his supporters. They are unable or unwilling to make a connection between the challenges faced by any president and the knowledge and behavior of Donald Trump. In a democracy, that is disastrous.”

Disastrous is the key word there, not a term that you want to hear during an election year.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has this to say about Bill Clinton:

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump late Saturday blasted the announcement that former President Bill Clinton will campaign for his wife, Hillary Clinton.

The real estate mogul said the former president has a “penchant for sexism” in a tweet.

The Democratic front-runner said in an interview last week that Trump has “a penchant for sexism” after the billionaire said she “got schlonged” in losing to then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008.

“It’s not the first time he’s demonstrated a penchant for sexism,” Hillary Clinton told the Des Moines Register. “Again, I’m not sure anybody’s surprised that he keeps pushing the envelope."

Trump later warned Clinton to "be careful as you play the war on women or women being degraded card."

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-blasts-bill-clintons-penchant-for-sexism/ar-BBnXb9Q?li=BBnb7Kz

That's Donald Trump – the guy who wants to have sex with his own daughter – calling Bill Clinton a sexist! USA! USA! USA!

Meanwhile, Der Trumpenfuror got owned at the Rose Parade this year:

Donald Trump Supporters

Guess I should call this segment “Meet The Fuckers”. Allow me to break Top 10 tradition here for a minute and quote some older articles, but we're going to go deep inside the wormhole of Neo Nazis, and Donald Trump supporters. The Huffington Post. You came for the political journalism, but you know you clicked on that article about the “world's most beautiful penis contest” on the right hand side. Go on, try to deny it. You can't, can you? Don't worry, I won't tell! They compiled a list back last August about the highest form of Trump supporters and that's Neo Nazis. But seriously, read this piece and see what it is that we're dealing with when the RNC come election time:

Duke is the just the latest in a long line of similarly extreme figures who have warmed to Trump’s candidacy. Evan Osnos reported on Trump’s appeal at length in The New Yorker this week. The story is worth reading in full, but Osnos’ most explosive finding is that Trump enjoys the support of a who’s who of contemporary white supremacist and neo-Nazi leaders and institutions. The members of what one might call Trump’s white supremacist fan club include:
The Daily Stormer, a leading neo-Nazi news site, endorsed Trump on June 28. “Trump is willing to say what most Americans think: it’s time to deport these people,” the site said in its endorsement. It then urged white men to “vote for the first time in our lives for the one man who actually represents our interests.”
Richard Spencer, director of the National Policy Institute, which promotes the “heritage, identity, and future of European people,” said that Trump was “refreshing.” “Trump, on a gut level, kind of senses that this is about demographics, ultimately. We’re moving into a new America,” Spencer said. “I don’t think Trump is a white nationalist,” Spencer added, but noted that Trump embodies “an unconscious vision that white people have -- that their grandchildren might be a hated minority in their own country. I think that scares us. They probably aren’t able to articulate it. I think it’s there. I think that, to a great degree, explains the Trump phenomenon. I think he is the one person who can tap into it.” Spencer, Osnos notes, is not the stereotype of a prejudiced yokel: At 36, he is clean-cut, and boasts degrees from elite universities. The Southern Poverty Law Center, Osnos says, calls Spencer “a suit-and-tie version of the white supremacists of old.”

There you have it, Trump supporters are Neo Nazis and overall racists. Don't be a stupid, be a smarty! Come and join the Nazi party!

Meanwhile, in Idiots #7, I noted that Donald Trump was BFFs with Vladimir Putin. Well there's another guy who wants to be BFFs with Donald Trump and that's batshit crazy conspiracy theory radio commentator Alex Jones. I've trashed Infowars and Alex Jones in previous editions, but the same applies here. This has the potential to be an extremely toxic mix. You have the most ego manaical wannabe dictator presidential candidate in history occupying the top spot in the race, and he is admired by fans of a site that thinks that the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School was staged and that the kids shot didn't exist. Chicago Tribune explains more:

On the morning of Dec. 2, Jones hosted an extended, live interview with Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump. After about 30 minutes of mutual compliments, and Jones telling Trump that "about 90 percent" of his listeners support him, the presidential candidate wrapped things up by telling Jones, "Your reputation is amazing."
That same day, after that interview, 14 people were killed and 21 others were injured in the mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif. Within hours of that news breaking, Jones and his website — predictably — were hosting discussions of how San Bernardino, like Newtown, like the Boston Marathon bombing, and of course like 9/11, was a hoax. Either it didn't happen, or if it did, it was perpetuated by the government to bring about … who knows, gun control, maybe? Mind control? Something about aliens? Concentration camps?
Mr. Trump is not the only presidential candidate to flirt with this particular strand of the American fringe. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and his father before him have made frequent appearances in that wild territory for years. But aside from an outsize media fascination with each of them, neither Paul has ever been anything other than an asterisk in presidential politics.
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-donald-trump-alex-jones-sandy-hook-false-flags-20151216-story.html

Yes Donald Trump and Rand Paul have gone to the side of conspiracy theorists. Combine Infowars conspiracy theorists and KKK racists, and you're both literally and figuratively playing with fire.

Meanwhile there's a new ad that shows that a lot of Trump supporters out there that are just plain stupid. I love this ad.

Arizona’s Public Integrity Alliance created a hilarious new parody video mocking not only Donald Trump but his supporters as well. The ad stars Phoenix comedian Brian Nissen, in his role as “Dwain,” a mullet-headed redneck with an IQ so low, you would have to dig to find it.

A great twist in this video is that its primary targets are Trump voters, rather than The Donald himself. The character Dwain is depicted as your average Trump ditto-head who constantly heaps praise onto The Donald while repeating his fascist rhetoric. The problem is, Trump supporters are incapable of realizing it’s mocking them.

Tyler Montague, Founder and President of PIA, said that he intended for the video to inform intelligent voters just how bad it is to support Trump’s ideas. However, he admitted that many of the supporters which commented on it are just so stupid they don’t even realize they are being insulted. ................(more)

MSNBC

MSNBC. That network that republicans love to point fingers at and say that it's part of the "liberal media". As you and I both know, the "liberal media" that the republicans go on and on about simply doesn't exist. Prove me wrong republicans! I got all night! There was a time when MSNBC had some great programming and had reporters that, you know, reported facts instead of partisan talking points. One I particularly miss is Keith Olbermann's "worst person in the world " segment, though these days Donald Trump would be the worst person in the world, just about every single night. But not if the MSNBC boss had his way. But if you want to get rid of the virus that is the Donald Trump campaign - it's a relatively simple solution:

STOP GIVING HIM AIR TIME!!!

Over the last few months, viewers of MSNBC have noticed a shift in the network's direction. Moving to more of a traditional news format with less liberal opinionated shows, MSNBC has opened its umbrella for potential new viewers, but has alienated those who have been loyal over the years.
Since the start of the summer, popular names like Ed Schultz have been released from the network, while others like Al Sharpton have been switched to different time slots, and limited in their contribution. Leading into their left-leaning prime time programming, executives at MSNBC decided to it would be beneficial to broadcast more unbiased news coverage to tinker with the network's image. As Mediaite reported on Dec. 24, NBC and MSNBC News Chairman Andrew Lack gave the reason for the change, including why Republican front runner Donald Trump is receiving so much attention.
"Had we not made this turn to breaking news with seriousness of purpose, in these times and in this election," Lack said to The Daily Beast in a recent interview, admitting, "we would have been clobbered." Pointing out that the network had been struggling to keep pace with rivals Fox News and CNN is not shocking, but it does come as a surprise for an executive to openly admit it. Lack then turned his attention to Trump, who he says is receiving so much airtime because he is impacting the election in a "profound" way and is doing well in the polls.
http://www.examiner.com/article/msnbc-head-gives-shocking-reason-for-network-s-24-7-donald-trump-coverage?cid=db_articles

Want to make Trump go away? Take away his air time! And definitely don't give him a 24/7 platform to spew his hatemongering, fearmongering, and warmongering bullshit. But oh... in case you're wondering what 24/7 coverage of all things Trump gets you? If you answer “nothing” to this question... you are correct sir/madam!

'The cable news wars have only escalated with the lead in to the 2016 presidential election. One network has made drastic changes in an attempt to increase their ratings, but have failed to gain much traction.

In the world of American news media, three networks fight for supremacy, with each carving out their own special niche to appeal to a portion of the audience. Each week, Nielsen Media Research releases the ratings for all of the TV networks, cable news included. As The New York Times reported on Dec. 30, the left leaning MSNBC is still struggling among its competitors.

As expected, the conservative Fox News continued its ratings dominance, securing their 14th straight year as the number one cable news network in the country. Fox News' primetime numbers increased by three percent, pulling in just under 1.8 million total viewers. In comparison, MSNBC grabbed 559,000 total viewers in the primetime hours. CNN landed in the middle of the pack, with an average of 712,000 viewers during primetime. In the much coveted demographic of viewers between 25-54 years old, Fox News dwarfed the competition. With 339,000, Fox News jumped 13 percent compared to the previous year. MSNBC, on the other hand, was down 19 percent with the demo in total day viewership, and down 18 percent with the demo during primetime.'>>>

Rick Snyder

So remember in Idiots #6 when I blasted anti-enviornment nut jobs for what they did to Flint, Michigan? Well it seems that Rick Synder has created an enormous crisis there. So much that he should be at least forced to resign from occupying the governorship.

Rick Snyder apologized to the City of Flint Tuesday for the Flint drinking water crisis that has left children poisoned by lead and announced he has accepted to resignation of Michigan Department of Environmental Quality Director Dan Wyant.

Snyder said in a news release there will be other personnel changes at DEQ and the moves he announced Wednesday are among the "initial steps" he has taken to assure the safety of Flint residents, with more action to come.

“I want the Flint community to know how very sorry I am that this has happened," Snyder said. "And I want all Michigan citizens to know that we will learn from this experience, because Flint is not the only city that has an aging infrastructure

The governor, who had previously stood by his DEQ director amid the controversy, said,

"Dan Wyant has offered his resignation, and I’ve determined that it’s appropriate to accept it."

I have nothing further to add except: “go fuck yourself with a rusty spoon, Rick Snyder! I hope you drink that toxic water for the rest of your life!”. A fitting punishment for Rick? I'd say the ending of Quantum Of Solace.

Ted Cruz

So one way to not win a few converts in the election is to demonize the hell out of them. And that's exactly what Ted Cruz did last week – he not only demonized the entire democratic party, he also demonized the Latino vote, which as I mentioned in previous editions of the TTCI that is one of the crucial votes that you need to win the election. Right now with the way the GOP is going, navel lint has higher polling numbers among the Latino community than any GOP presidential candidate does. Go ahead, keep on doing this GOP. You're almost guaranteed a Sanders or Clinton win at this point. This only furthers my point that conservatives don't know comedy, and you know what? When you're in a hole, stop digging!

Ted Cruz has coined a new term in the fight over immigration: “undocumented Democrats.” Speaking in Las Vegas on Thursday, the Texas senator and GOP presidential candidate portrayed the idea of a path to citizenship as a ploy to beef up Democratic voter rolls.

"There’s a reason why I think the new politically correct term is no longer illegal aliens; it’s undocumented Democrats.” -
Read more at http://wonkette.com/597137/canadian-ted-cruz-has-awesome-new-slur-for-foreigns#Itaw8ohwc8fJO5cl.99

Oh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... what a wonderfully funny, clever, and oh downright fucking racist remark, Ted! But oh no, he's just dipping into the republicans' playbook of all fear, all the time – because that's how you win votes, my friends!

Over the years, the right wing, which has always been hostile to the idea of “too much” democracy, worked to create an illusion that there was a great threat of “voter fraud” in America that needed to be dealt with by enacting extremely restrictive voter eligibility requirements. There is no evidence of systematic voter fraud anywhere in America, but that hasn’t stopped the right from doing everything in its power to make it difficult for ordinary people to exercise the right to vote. (If only they were as vigilant about preventing the very real threat of gun violence.)
And they have been helped in this task, unbelievably, by Democrats who are so afraid of right-wing hysteria that they actually helped the Republicans destroy one of their voting rights institutions, ACORN, when a right-wing con artist produced a doctored video to tarnish its reputation. They didn’t even wait for the facts; they immediately wrung their hands and joined the metaphorical lynching. It was a low point in recent civil rights history and it proved that voting rights activists cannot count on the political class to have their backs even when it means their own party will suffer.
http://www.salon.com/2015/12/29/theyre_already_trying_to_steal_2016_inside_the_gop_voting_rights_scheme_intended_to_derail_democracy/

Oh yes, my friends – fear, hysteria, more fear, greed, and demonization. The republicans can't win elections without being just plain fucking evil!

Jeb!

So Jeb! is yet another returning champion to the Top 10. And for the same thing as I called him out for way back in Idiots #2 – and that is his horrendous record on the environment. It appears Jeb! can fix it, but he clearly doesn't give a fuck. And remember when I said that his state of Florida could be completely underwater in a few years? Well it appears that it's about to get worse, so much worse than you already know. In fact the New Yorker delves into it in some absolutely insane detail:

The swamp’s ecosystem depends on unusually clean water. The main source of pollution is runoff from farms, especially the sprawling sugarcane farms that rim the northern tier of the Everglades. The runoff carries fertilizer rich in phosphorus, which even in tiny amounts can fuel explosions of growth—of algae and, especially, of invasive plants like cattails, which smother native plants and animal life. When Lehtinen sued the state, the levels of phosphorus were high enough to push the ecosystem to the verge of collapse. In Lake Okeechobee, at the northern boundary of the Everglades, algae blooms had become so stifling that huge groups of crawfish and snails crawled out of the water in search of oxygen. Cattails were expanding across the swamp by as much as nine acres every day.
The Everglades Forever Act, the law that Bush inherited from Chiles, divided the cleanup into two phases. The first one called for constructing storm-water treatment areas—artificial wetlands that capture and filter farm run-off—and encouraged farmers to adopt “best management practices,” like refraining from spreading fertilizer just before a rainstorm. By 2003, with the first phase under way, phosphorus levels had dropped dramatically.
The second phase promised to be much more difficult. In 2001, Bush, after consulting with his environmental regulators, had committed the state to an aggressive goal set by the Everglades Forever Act: in five years, phosphorus in the swamp would be reduced to its natural level, no higher than ten parts per billion. Soon afterward, the Audubon Society of Florida sent Bush a letter, saying, “We appreciate your wise and strong support.”
But in 2003, as Bush began his second term, scientists for the state, along with the sugar industry, concluded that Florida was likely to miss the deadline. Paul Schwiep, a lawyer who represented environmental groups, said, “Everyone started panicking.” The panic had as much to do with money as with science. State regulators had estimated that meeting the deadline would require seven hundred million dollars of additional spending. In the original plan for the cleanup, sugar farmers were required to pay a tax, but ordinary taxpayers bore the bulk of the cost. Florida voters subsequently approved a constitutional amendment requiring polluters—with sugar companies first among them—to pay far more, and, though the amendment was never enforced, it remained on the books.
http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/01/04/swamped-the-political-scene-dexter-filkins

Oh again, it gets a hell of a lot worse from there. Further reading shows that Jeb! completely ignored and misled scientists on climate change research, particularly that of what's going on in the Everglades. Perhaps if we truly want to understand global warming we should look to the Everglades to see what's really going on. But elect Jeb! to the presidency and we'll not only roll back decades of climate change research, we'll see things get way worse.

Josh Moore

Republicans and sex. It's an anomaly. Either they are so self loathing that they become obsessed with the sexual orientation of cartoon and fictional characters (see entry #8) or they simply think sexual harassment of women in public is OK. I'll tell you what it's not – OK by any stretch of the imagination. And the more you attempt to justify it, the worse it gets for you. And this is one of those cases where, when you're already in a hole, stop digging. So it's apparently OK by the standards of New Hampshire representative Josh Moore (R – Viagra). I sense him getting arrested for a rather hideous sex or child abuse crime in the near future. But his post apparently sparked a Facebook battle with a much saner member of the New Hampshire house. Read on:

New Hampshire State Rep. Amanda Bouldin (D) took to Facebook to criticize the bill and call out her male, Republican “small government” colleagues. That’s when things got awkward. Here is Moore’s response, including typos and errors.

“Who doesn’t support a mothers right to feed?” Moore responded. “Don’t give me the liberal talking points Amanda. If it’s a woman’s natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, than you should have no problem with a mans to stare at it and grab it. After all, it’s ALL relative and natural, right?”

If that wasn’t bad enough, Moore’s fellow Republican, State Rep. Al Baldasaro, chimed in to further harass Bouldin.

“Amanada, No disrespect, but your nipple would be the last one I would want to see,” Baldasaro said. “You want to turn our family beach’s into a pervert show. Liberterians want a nude beach, put your money together and buy one, if you want to expose you kids to nudity, go for it. Some of us liberty minded Reps do beleive in family values.” (misspellings his too)

Constituents criticized the law, and also the responses of Moore and Baldasaro.

“I have no words,” one woman wrote. “Unbelievable and discriminatory to women and babies … I’d be proud to be on the sex offenders list for breastfeeding in public and I’d rake the courts through the mud on national television!”

...snip

http://www.rawstory.com/2015/12/family-values-republican-men-should-be-allowed-to-grab-breastfeeding-womens-nipples-in-public/

Yes he apparently thinks that it's perfectly OK to grab the nipple of a mother who breastfeeds in public. If you see a mother breastfeeding in public, the only acceptable thing to do is look away and move on. None of your damn business! Hey Josh Moore, if you think it's OK to grab women's nipples, then we get to look at your searches on Porn Hub! I bet there's a lot there that you don't want us to know about! How's that for a breach of privacy?

Religious Idiots

The holidays bring out a lot of religious lunacy. So much that we're combining three normal entries into one mega entry! We've discussed psycho pastor Kevin Swanson in previous issues, notably for having the same compassion Jesus would have if he attended the Eagles of Death Metal show at the Bataclan in Paris and that's that concert goers worship death. Yeah. How sensitive of you, Mr. Swanson! Well now Kevin Swanson is back saying that a Hillary Clinton presidency will convert our young males to homosexuality. Because that's exactly the same sentiment that Jesus would have! Oh wait – when did Jesus mention homosexuality in the Bible? Um never!

Far-right Colorado pastor Kevin Swanson got some negative publicity last month when he managed to get three Republican presidential candidates to speak at an event he organized, where he spent most of his speaking time warning that America must repent for such sins as birth control, liking Harry Potter too much and failing to execute gay people.
On his “Generations Radio” program yesterday, Swanson said that although he was “severely mocked” for his remarks at the conference, it is true that America must repent or God will punish the nation through the election of Hillary Clinton, who will in turn lead “tremendous majorities of American kids” down “the track towards homosexuality” and other sexual sins.
Swanson got on the subject while discussing a recent case in Massachusetts in which a judge found that a Catholic school violated a state nondiscrimination law when it pulled a job offer from its food services director after he listed his husband as an emergency contact.
Swanson warned that this was all part of the “preparation for the Greek form of education, which, as you know, involves whatever’s going on in gymnasia, very, very ugly stuff” and that the nation is “going in the direction of Harry Potter’s mentor and Hiccup’s mentor in ‘How to Train Your Dragon,’” whom he says are gay.

Yes because he reads sooooooooooo much into the sexuality of characters in children's books and cartoons. I sense a bizarre sex scandal in his near future. In other insane religious news there's a Ted Cruz supporter who claims that Obama ruined our country and therefore ruined Christmas:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has established himself in recent weeks as a strong challenger to frontrunner Donald Trump — and his supporters are as apparently just as nutty.
A woman spoke to C-SPAN at a recent Cruz rally in Mechanicsville, Virginia, where she explained that she intended to vote for the Texas Republican to drive President Barack Obama, who is constitutionally prohibited from seeking a third term, from office.
“I don’t like Obama no more,” the woman explained. “He’s ruined our country, ruined Christmas. He’s let the Muslims in. We can’t say that word, we’ve got to be ashamed of it — and we’re not ashamed people. We’re a proud people, and we’re gonna take our country back. So watch out, Obama! We’re coming.”
The reporter asked the woman to explain how Obama had ruined Christmas.
“He’s scared the little children,” she said. “They’re not allowed to have Santa Claus in the schools where, you know, it might offend the Muslims. But what about us?
http://www.rawstory.com/2015/12/cruz-supporters-are-just-as-bonkers-as-trumps-obama-ruined-our-country-ruined-christmas/

Ah yup! There it is! My personal favorite mindless republican slogan which is “we're going to take our country back!!!”. What are you taking it back from, exactly? Where are you taking it back to? The 1950s? You really want to live in the Honeymooners times?

A Texas woman says her Christian faith gave her the power to redirect a tornado away from her home.
Sabrina Lowe, of Rowlett, said 10 family members were visiting her apartment Saturday when they heard the distinctive train noise of the approaching tornado, reported NPR.
“We actually went outside and started commanding the winds, because God had given us authority over the winds, the airways,” Lowe said. “And we just began to command this storm not to hit our area. We spoke to the storm and said, ‘Go to unpopulated places.’ It did exactly what we said to do, because God gave us the authority to do that.”
The EF4 tornado, with wind speeds up to 180 mph, was among nine confirmed tornadoes that swept through the Dallas area, killing 11 people and destroying more than 1,000 buildings.

That's what we face in the election year – religious lunacy. And this particularly diverse group of winners – an AM hate radio pastor, a Ted Cruz supporter who wants to “take our country back”, and a lunatic who claims that she redirected a fucking tornado. God bless America! Oh wait...

Mattel, Inc.

Crickets chirping. That sound that you're going to hear at the RNC when Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders wins the presidency in November! But file this one under “it sounded like a great idea at the time!”. Lots of things sound great at the time. Going to see Mortdecai sounds like a great idea at the time. Limp Bizkit sounds like a great idea at the time. Electing Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor of California sounds like a great idea at the time. But you know what never sounds like a great idea, at any time? Is animal experimentation, even if it involves insects! And that's what some genius at Mattel did, and this a picture of the toy in question:

Barbie maker Mattel has come under fire over a toy car that is driven by a live insect kept inside a plastic cage attached to the device.

Bug Racer was condemned as the ‘worst toy idea ever’ because it is inhumane to crickets, which are nocturnal and tend to sleep during the day.

Instead their routine will be upended and children as young as six will be goading them into steering the car by touching sensors inside their living module.

Mattel joked that the device comes with ‘crickets not included’ and that it is ‘the first vehicle that puts real crickets behind the wheel’.

But animal rights group Peta last night branded it ‘as cruel as it is ridiculous’ and demanded it be taken off the shelves immediately.

Yes, crickets not included. Because parents don't want to be annoyed at the sound of chirping crickets, and kids don't want to know what an empty room sounds like. I kid, I kid. Of course, this could be the worst toy idea that Mattel has come up with since Fox & Friends Barbie.

Richmond Valentine's Revenge!

One of my favorite flicks last year was Kingsman: The Secret Service. If you haven't seen it, go watch it, amazing movie! And if you haven't seen it, the plot revolves around a British independent intelligence agency using a high end tailor shop on London's famous Savile Row as cover called Kingsman. They investigate a plot to destroy the world by tech billionaire Richmond Valentine, played by Samuel L. Jackson. His plot? To use cell phone SIM cards that trigger a world wide riot that takes out half the population thereby saving the planet while destroying the “virus” that is the human race! That doesn't sound far fetched at all, doesn't it? Well, there's a pair of incidents this week that are a scary case of “life imitating art”. But was it... Richmond Valentine's revenge?

Exhibit A:

DEPTFORD (NJ) - "Chaos broke out at the Deptford Center Mall Saturday night after a "large disturbance" involving more than 500 people erupted near the food court.

Multiple law enforcement agencies from both Gloucester and Camden counties were called to the mall, located on Deptford Center Road.

Videos posted on social media show droves of people dispersing near the Sears store on the second level.

One juvenile was arrested in the incident, police said."

Exhibit B:

Chain-reaction brawls involving up to 2,000 people erupted in one of Kentucky's largest malls Saturday night, forcing the entire mall and businesses in the surrounding area to shut down, police said.

The hours-long chaos at Mall St. Matthews began about 7 p.m. ET when the six St. Matthews police officers assigned to the mall for the holiday season began responding to "disturbances," said Officer Dennis McDonald, a police spokesman.

"As they were responding to those disturbances, others were breaking out. ... Disturbances started to feed on themselves." McDonald said. "They were just overwhelmed with a number of calls for service and reports of disorder."

The officers on duty at the mall called for backup, and 50 officers from five different agencies responded, according to police.

Wow, 500 in New Jersey and nearly 2,000 in Kentucky? But was it... Richmond Valentine triggering cell phone sim cards? We'll play this clip from Kingsman and let you be the judge:

RIP Lemmy

Finally tonight – the TTCI isn't meant to be serious. It's meant to be fun. But it really sucks when one of your heroes dies. So I am dedicating this last slot to one of the greats of heavy metal – Motorhead's Ian Kilmeister, better known as Lemmy. Most of you know that I love the metal. I am a huge supporter of metal music. One of my earliest concert going experiences was in 2003 when I saw Iron Maiden and Motorhead do a double headlining show at Irvine Meadows. Hell Motorhead was so loud you could hear them all the way deep in the parking lot. I've seen Motorhead quite a few times since then. And no one rocked or partied as hard as their leader Lemmy Kilmeister did. We shall hang our leather jackets at half staff for Lemmy this week. But we shall not remember Lemmy as he died but as he lived – and that is LOUD! So we're going to close out this edition by playing an awesome track off their 2013 album Aftershock called “Silence When You Speak To Me”. Rock on Lemmy! And remember – play it loud!

See you next week!
