2. If you'll reread what I wrote, you won't find it anywhere of my depiction of the President...
This is not about whether or not anyone's criticism of him is right or wrong, including your own.
This is about something greater, it's about the formation of General Reality itself. I'm just using the President as an example. That the culmination of beliefs themselves can either fall into the Magical realm or the Reality based one. That the overarching authority can only justify the balance or imbalance of magical vs. reality based beliefs strictly through the will and choice of the people who fall under it. We either orbit the Sun, or the Sun orbits us. We can choose between those two "truths"… I'd rather we'd choose the one that actually exists.
In your own toolbox, you understood my essay as some kind of justification of the President's actions or inactions on various matters of state. It was not.
I'm not going to speculate as to why your reaction to the subject the President was the one that you offered, you're entitled to whatever opinion that you have of him. I'm not going to dissuade you from it.
However, I will say that your reply about his perceived "perfection", or the lack thereof is quite the example of what I'm talking about.
You used that word three times and I didn't use it once. Yet, that is what you thought my essay was about. I'm curious as to why that's the case.
