I don't know what to say about the Time cover. It's deliberately provocative and more than a bit weird. How many women allow their three year old son suckle? This isn't front page news.

As far as Newsweek is concerned, the pic is great; the text is an outright lie. Yes, this is probably deliberate provocation. But if I were the big boss, I would call the editor who approved it into my office and ask, "Do you know what you've done?"

I would give the editor a chance to explain. Then, no matter what the response was, I would say, "You're fired. Clean out your desk. You have ten minutes to get the hell off the premises."
