The election really only showed that people are pissed with the status quo, but didn't zero in on which part of the status quo people didn't want anymore. By refusing to compromise on the austerity packages, etc. and doing it by forcing theother parties to sign such an agreement, it is drawing a broad and bright line in the sand showing the difference between his party and all the other.s. I think this was planned, brilliantly, and will pan out for his party nicely in the re-election if austerity is the real reason for all the protests and dissatisfaction with the masses. If not, he's screwed.
