non-profit firms of attorneys could do to help the public in handling many claims and lawsuits.

That is a a shame.

We need public interest attorneys who can address issues like unfair, fraudulent mortgage fees and collections.

Call your congressman about this and let him know you favor full funding for public interest attorneys' firms who challenge businesses about unfair and fraudulent practices even in case in which damage settlements that would cover the expense of private attorneys will not pay the attorneys' fees and costs.

Warren's Consumer Bureau is a great improvement, but we need to carry the concept of government assistance in protecting consumers' rights and informing consumers of their responsibilities and rights in commercial transactions a lot further. We need public interest attorneys who advise citizens on their rights and responsibilities without charge.

Also a victim! Ckangel999 Dec 2013 #1
