to always be posting nasty rants in comments about news stories, making threatening phone calls, sending threats through the mail, and so on. It seems to be a character trait for them. That's alarming, I think, since many of them are also avid firearms owners. The combination of the kind of anger that would cause people to threaten others for disagreeing with them and access to deadly weapons is very worrisome.

Beyond that, the police do not seem all that interested in such threats.
