Which is to say.... it seems as though there are lots of professional teachers in the NYC system who are.... shall we say... "sidelined" 'cause their schools were closed by Bloomberg. Cynics say it's 'cause they make too much money.( i.e. enough to pay their very high NYC rent, and raise kids at the same time , etc.) and TPTB would prefer less expensive labor.
No jobs for these vets, yet the city is hiring "fellows". Are all the "fellows" so much better equipped than these ATRs... (who must truly be a bunch of banana-heads)? Or are there other factors at work?
I apologize in advance for appearing to rain on your parade. I'm not kidding about my colleagues, btw. Some of them are *great*. The reality is that they are also *cheap*.
