I grew up in South America and we ate beans every day at our main meal at noon, but we also ate other things with the beans. We had sweet rolls and coffee for breakfast and we had tea in the evening with toast and jam and other food like fruit and cookies instead of dinner. No one should be expected to have to eat just beans and rice and only once a day, not in America. I hope your circumstances will improve and the circumstances of everyone else in your boat.
