I too, just created a new account. There was a link on reddit to this thread/story and I came to check it out. Then I ended up wanting to reply to some clueless comment, and created an account to do so. I still don't know any solid facts about what happened that day, but it sounds weird so far.

Did he stumble into some clannish or ethnic neighborhood and get attacked for being "other"? Or did he lose it and "plough recklessly through the crowd" with no regard for anyone in his way? From the articles and stories I've seen, there's no way to tell.
