170. My children are grown and we pay a fair amount in taxes.

It doesn't bother me at all that those with children at home get a tax deduction. When families with children get a tax break the community as a whole benefits. To a lot of families those tax breaks mean food, clothes and education that they might not be able to afford. This means less dependency on social services for basic needs and a healthier community.

What does bother me is that the gay community does not have the same rights that I enjoy and the benefits that come with marriage.
