You cannot get a job in a school working with special needs kids, or adults with disabilities without the proper training, and by that I mean SCIP training. Some holds are legal and others aren't. Much depends on the age. There was almost no difference between NY and Florida where I worked. Georgia is that different from Florida? I doubt it.

I was not allowed to be alone in a classroom in Florida with At Risk Teenagers without having gone through this training.
