7. I don't have any statistics, don't think it is necessary to justify use of birth control...

However, I would guess the biggest consumers of the birth control pill are married women. Most single women aren't having sex all the time so there wouldn't be a need for it everyday. Maybe some are in a committed relationship so they might use it. Those that have occasional sex partners might want to use something like the implant that works for 5 months or the birth control patch. Or condoms. Why go for the expense of pills for occasional sex?

Then of course there are those women who use the pill for other medical reasons.
