in some godforsaken place when the plane ran low on fuel.
This sort of thing never turns out well.

A crash is horrible, and this is far worse. I also felt sorry for those dialing cell phones

Yes, but the NTSB guys were alive. Nobody on that godforsaken plane was, post-impact.

Ya.....most likely the plane was in trouble and crashed somewhere around Indonesia/Malaysia
