2. How divided are we?

The top members of the Political Class, and the top wage earners all think that it would be impossible, unfeasible or communistic to have free higher education.

Obama had a chance to keep education levels higher here in California when Schwartzennegger asked for that 20 billion dollar loan. Instead of giving us that money, which would have allowed us to keep teachers working and community colleges hiring very qualified people, he let Geithner quash that idea. Geithner's excuse: "It would add to the deficit."

But bailing out the banksters to the tune of 16 trillions of dollars didn't bother either Obama or Geithner. Experts state that some 3.7 trillions of dollars of loan monies to the US Fed will never ever be paid back!

And again, here in California, one of the ways that Jerry Brown and the legislature got California to be "operating" on a surplus budget is by cutting back education and health programs to the bone. My county received some 15 to 16 millions of dollars over 2009-29010 for education. Now it gets less than 10 million, even though there are more kids in the district!

amen...but a re thug will read that and say 'socialist' SummerSnow Feb 2014 #1
