slightly how hypocritical she is being, it wil have been well worth it. Generally though, I tend to shy away from confronting these folks. Since you were a former conservative, you are well aware how dangerous it can be when things get out of hand, particularly with family members. But I think you're right, standing up now and again is probably the right thing to do, because it CAN change minds. We'll see.
