are objecting to is the cultural demands for gender conformity as to ideals of beauty, when with 6+ billion members of humanity, how realistic is it to think one look can ever suit everyone?
That is, Western men are traditionally prohibited from wearing make-up and high heels; women are prohibited from tattoos and bare chests. That kind of thing.
