(8,200 posts)33. Life time appointments for judges is a disaster.
The Founding Fathers believed that by making life time appointments that the judges would be not be affected by politics would be free to make objective impartial decisions. Unfortunately, this has not proved to be the case. This should be totally reviewed and in my estimation the appointments should only be for a limited time or at least subject to periodic review. At the present a number of decisions are an outright scandal for their blatant partisan determinations.
