I just like Ron Paul for his anti-war stance but really disagree with him on wanting to strip the government down to a skeleton.
He really does just sound like a shill for the Chamber of Commerce. If he gets in power, I don't think he'll get anything done in terms of de-funding corporate subsidies to war contractors or legalizing marijuana.
He'll probably make huge progress in destroying social safety netting, public education, and government services that benefit everyday people. Their agenda to shrink government seems very one sided against anything that helps the poor and middle class. They always seem to accomplish shrinking government on that end of things but always manage to expand government where it concerns corporate power.
Besides, if we scrapped the federal government overnight, who would win in that whole situation? It wouldn't be the working class. It would be corporations, since they already have a massive monopoly on all the real wealth in the country, land and resources.
