we all overhear from people on cell phones while they are driving, walking, shopping, etc.

"Hi! What's new with me? Oh, nothin' - how about you?" This usually leads to, "Gotta go - I have another call," which is followed by, "Hi! What's new with me? Oh, nothin' - how about you?"

It always amazes me how many people have to check-in with everyone they have a phone number for, for the express purpose of telling each other they have absolutely nothing to say.
