(62,325 posts)Hey, no big deal. Let Corporate American use our Congress to free themselves from any laws that might protect us from being poisoned. We know Monsanto would never, ever do anything to harm anyone.
A 'bill like that' should never have had a dangerous rider attached to it, period. And it's not as if they just sneaked it. The WH got petitions with over a quarter of a million signatures over the past year asking them to stop that rider.
Isn't it wonderful how Corporations can USE legislation to foil us and no one in elected office even tries to get in their way.
Let's hope no one is poisoned by Monsanto over the next few months, because now that Congress has given up its own right to regulate our food supply and the Federal Courts cannot even hear a case against them anymore. Yay for 'big bills' that Corps can use to THEIR advantage and to our elected officials for the green light to do so!! Who needs laws anyhow? You have to hand it to Monsanto, they write their own laws and then tell OUR Representatives to pass them or else! I love being blackmailed, don't you?
