. . . the anti-Catholic bigoted hatefest erupting on DU.
54% of all Catholics voted for Barack Obama in 2008. Only 45% of all Protestants voted for Obama. Jewish voters were far and away the best of all, voting 78% for Obama.
Many if not most Catholics ignore the putrid sermons dictated by right-wing bishops and dutifully implemented in the parishes.
Bash the Church hierarchy if you want, but leave the rank and file Catholics out of it. They don't deserve the bashing. They are your voters and you need their votes.
