...I don't agree that it should be shown. It would be absolute hell for the family and friends. I also think the carnage we already see day to day on TV and the internet is part of the reason we've become jaded. I think focusing on the victim's lives is much more effective. If you show me the ravaged body of a child, I can guarantee I'll turn away and sob. If you show me the face of that child laughing, playing, hugging their dog, I'll watch and sob and focus on protecting every other laughing, loving child. The difference is the visual of a horrific crime compared to the loss of a beautiful life.
