It did get rather "entertaining". I think coursera is a good thing, that opinion as you see was not shared by all.

I believe as the boomer generation ages things like coursera can be a valuable asset to them to access learning opportunities for enjoyment. It can also provide opportunities for many, many others who may have no other means of accessing these courses. I just don't see how this can be a negative in the long run. Certainly change can be difficult for some and there are those who may need to make adjustments, but change is also a big part of life and something with which we all much deal.
