My mother lives in a retirement community. When she first moved there in the 90s, a few people used scooters to get themselves to the main dining room and usually parked them in the corner. Now there are so many scooters that they had to build a large room near the dining room just to park the things. The population of this place isn't more disabled than they used to be, they were just all sold scooters.
