With so many details to present in only 1 hour some of it would have to be left out. However it seemed to leave out a bit more than I was comfortable with. The fact of Neo-Con connivance was far too understated. The link between Regan/Bush, Cheney/Rumsfeld, Feith/Wolfowitz, and events leading to the 2000 election, September 11 and beyond was completely left out.

It is one thing to show in their own words what was said and done to present the big lie. Yet another to show how significant individuals such as Zinni were not only aware of the truth at the time, but had been bypassed by the Cheney/Bush war machine. That Condi Rice, Dick Cheney, Doug Feith, and the others clearly knew that they were selling a completely fabricated case in argument to go to war is more than Hubris, it was murder with malice aforethought.

What the program made clear was that the lie was told with the knowledge that it was a complete lie by those people. What was not said was how much the Mainstream press, along with FOX news and Hate radio, convicted Iraq out of court and abetted the Bush Administration through direct action. NBC was not a pawn, nor was ABC News, CBS, or CNN. They were instead willing and eager sycophants to the great patriotic march to war, endlessly repeating the idea that it was the "American Thing to Do" to take down the bad guy. They shamelessly made it clear that no other choice was really tenable. They remain cheerleaders of the war to this day. None of them asked or pursued the obvious "Why" which could have diffused the avalanche.

But they were on board long before the war lie was told. They never questioned what happened during Campaign 2000. They participated with enthusiasm in white-washing the Bush Selection by the Supreme Court. Institutionally they failed to see anything wrong with the fence cages along the Inaugural Route...Or the people who put them there. It is hardly surprising that Big Media's Co-opting and cooperation in the war lie was so understated in this broadcast.
