16. We were sitting around reading the patient manual tonight

so I know what to expect, and she's been in ICU before (not with near as many tubes, though.)

I'm actually amazed at how quickly the tubes can come out and the recovery rate (assuming things go well), and that return surgeon to control bleeding doesn't necessarily slow down recovery.

And the fact that the heart is not symmetrical still fascinates me.
