19. Not as bad as 78

thank goodness for small favors. That sucker dumped a record 48" around the Mass/RI border. This one dumped 38" on parts of CT. The travel ban in Mass/RI lasted for many days. This one's ban has been lifted in both states the day after, not to say anybody who tries to travel this afternoon and tonight doesn't have rocks in his head.

The worst part today is on Long Island, where abandoned and drifted over cars will prevent plowing and that will prevent emergency vehicles getting through to restore power.

Two feet of snow SUCK and it's going to be a mess for many days to come all over New England. It's just not as bad as it has been in the past.
