2 ft snow + thaw = a break for the kids...
2 ft snow + 3 weeks of sub 20s temps = massive pain.
Now, if a warm rain comes after, you could be looking at floods.

Hell. During the snow of 1978 the highways around Chicago were barricaded and totally closed.
