I don't expect greatness from a performance at a corporate event that is designed to pander to that strange place where all mainstreamy tastes converge.

Super Bowl is not my one-stop location for musical perfection and ingenuity. I've got a hard enough time to work up an interest in the game itself.

I just don't get why people expect a performance that is designed to please everyone to be great or anything other than boring and redundant.
