Once in a while, a spark of sanity makes an appearance. Thank you, Spider Jerusalem! Five-dollar-a-gallon gasoline would force folks to consider hybrids, electrics, lower speed limits, drive planning and other measures of conservation. And the attendant tax revenue would be a boon to job creation in the alternative fuel industry. Here in Texas, the moronic legislature INCREASED the speed limit on the Interstate highways.
