5. I just bought into Apple due to the ridiculously low valuation.

I don't expect the share price to rebound quickly, but that's okay. I don't plan on selling for at least four years, so the price of the stock today is irrelevant to me. The dividend is nice, though. (Small, but more than I could get from a bank.)

Apple continues to make great products, and I suspect they will continue to do so in the future. The huge downward move in the stock reflects the disillusionment of delusional analysts who thought the company would be able to grow profits 40% a year in perpetuity. No one can do that. But they are certainly likely to have a sustained growth rate greater than Microsoft, whose products are all based on legacy systems. And right now, the market is awarding Microsoft a much larger multiple.

Go figure.
