Caesar Augustus was was a family values emperor. He supported marriage and monogamy even though he would have made Hugh Hefner look like a virgin. He banned his daughter from the empire for her indiscretions. He also banned Ovid because of his writings. Ovid's openness about sexuality offended Caesar. Ovid died on some distant island in exile.
