For god sake look at the photo. See that diagonal rod that connects up on the main shaft? That's a clutch actuating rod that engages the power from the electric motor to the main shaft. In ANY normal machine it connects at the bottom to a foot treadle type switch. Do you think they make the thief start his own amputation? Check out the main bearing casting-looks a little over-sturdy for a job easily accomplished with poultry shears, no??? Notice the die and platen on the actuator arm. I believe what you are looking at is an evil Islamic trim press similar to those found in thousands of small metal working shops world wide. Now I have personally seen these devices take fingers in the United States and have little doubt it can be used for that. But this photo looks much more like propaganda nonsense for the masses.
