(20,628 posts)40. Methinks the rheumatoid arthritis he was diagnosed with a couple of years ago
is affecting his health and golf game WAY more than he's willing to let on, so this "bombshell" makes for a convenient way for him to transition from the end of his "athletic" career to the beginning of his political career. I do believe his ego is large enough for him to feel he's capable of winning elections as a proud Repuke.
He really painted himself into a corner when he signed that huge deal with the pharmaceutical company that makes the medication he uses as a treatment for arthritis, as he had to know that any acknowledgement of the symptoms affecting his game would paint him as a snake-oil salesman.
