16. My opinion of
his video game argument being equivalent to assault weapons is a diversion away from the main issue. The difference is one is a deadly weapon used to kill people and one is only an expression of visual effects or speech. If Joe has any legal education, he should know this. I don't know how much Meka has. You cannot kill anyone with a video game but with the deadly weapon.
His argument is also off base with video games connection to Hollywood. Visual and dramaticization effects is not just produced by Hollywood but in plays and Theaters also. Has he ever read a play of Shakespeare or seen Romeo and Juliet. Video games are also produced by other Industries and not just Hollywood if any. And besides, Dramaticiization can also distinguish between good and evil in society as a learning tool.
The Problem with the NRA is they promote guns as only good in Society for protecting oneself against bad guys. What they don't teach is guns are used only to cause serious injury or kill. What should be advocated is the preservation of life and no one should use a gun unless it is the last resort. To the NRA, everybody is a bad guy. The only good thing, if there ever was one is profits for them. And I would use an episode of Star Trek as a learning tool. The episode when an Alien invaded the Enterprise and had Cleons fighting against the crew of the Enterprise. Guess which role is the NRA.
