The northeast went through the racist campaign of Brown vs Warren. I never expected to see that in MA. Some of our members posted saying what was going on in the area. It may be simply a rural thing. Newtown is out in the woods, a lovely area. But the ones hassling him on the phone and online were from out of state. They may have been Texans as that is Infowars headquarters. I don't know what's happened in the northeast, which is thought of being very blue. But they've got Warren and good people and voted for Obama. They aren't with this radical group, for the most part.
