I finally found a way to shut up one of the benghazi conspiracy nuts

17. actually, no surprise here, as I live in one of the reddest counties in the country, not to mention

it being a prime fundieville (home of fungus, aka focus on the family, new life, and other mega-reichwing organizations)

one of my favourite conversations occurred a year or so ago. was listening to a woman spouting off about the koran and how it preached evil, blah, blah, and obama was a muslim, and wright was a monster--the usual mishmash of ignorant drivel. I had sworn not to get involved, but finally the stupidity was too much. I told her that either obama was a muslim, or a follower of rev, wright, could not be both, take your pick. she was sputtering and trying to insist he was both, and started in on the koran again. I asked her if she had actually ever read it--well, no, but so-and-so (some reichwing blowhard) was telling all about it. I suggested that she actually try reading it herself, since so-and-so was a complete idiot. then I suggested that she try reading the bible, as well, since she clearly didn't know what was in it, either. it was fun watching her turn various shades of purple and puce.
