2. The Law of Socio-Political Entropy

I dunno if that's an actual law, but when applied to American pluralistic democracy it sure fits.

In a closed system, with no real external pressure, the various factions and interests within a large-scale, pluralistic democracy will always tend toward entropy and multiple systems.
