The change from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95 was shocking but welcome because it was a big improvement. Plus it was still similar in nature to the previous version (desktop with icons and windows).

Windows 8 completely takes everything that the Windows experience has stood for and thrown it out the window, no pun intended. No more desktop, no more menu, no more windowed applications. It's going back to the days of DOS and Desqview with a graphic interface to facilitate switching.

It's not "Windows 8," it's "Tiles 1." Or maybe we should call it what it really is, "Bob 2."

So you're telling me not to utilize my "free" windows 8 upgrade. ileus Dec 2012 #1
