12. You don't have to believe Obama is a traitor to be concerned

Democrats chose the middle way all of the time - except not quite as often when it comes to the crown jewls of the social safety net. Obama has already given ground in public on the Bush Tax cuts,an issue he won the election on, and we really need that revenue so that there will be less pressure to do thinks like this indexing change to Social Security. It's not like the Republican House is going to pass legislation ennacting any significant new progressive revenue streams.
