(9,314 posts)At this moment in time, after three Republican primary contests, one might say everything has gone as could have been predicted before the votes were cast.
Race #1 in Iowa -- an atypical snapshot of the voting electorate in the United States, an extremely conservative group of people went to the polls and by a small margin elected Rick Santorum.
Race #2 in NH -- went for a so-called favorite son. No surprise there.
Race #3 in SC -- known nationally for its ultra-dirty politics, voters yesterday went to the polls and selected the most vile among the Republican pack to "speak" for them in this national contest.
Truly, are there any surprises here that most of us could not have foreseen absent any professional commentary on the subject?
All that background noise that has accompanied these races is merely the professional commentators trying to justify their existence. Think about it.
