Just pointing out reality. Realistically reality is a bitch.
But I will admit that you may be right. Perhaps you can put some effort into achieving your idea. Find some others who agree with you and join their organization or form your own.
I will agree that the will of the people can indeed change the Constitution but it's a long and rocky road. One advantage that your movement will have is that it will have support from the media which loves the rights granted by the First Amendment and hates the rights granted by the Second.
Also be aware that any large scale attempt to repeal the 2nd will result in increasing the sales of weapons and ammo. Obama has been called the best salesman the firearm industry ever had and after his first election it has been difficult to find many models of firearms at gun stores and often the ammo shipments fly off the shelves as some as they arrive.
Only 4.5 million members of the 80 million gun owners currently are members of the NRA and any effort to take away gun rights will cause their membership to increase dramatically and the donations to the NRA/ILA will enable the gun lobby to be even more effective than it currently is. Many good Democrats will lose their seats in congress even if they support RKBA. There is a fair possibility that after the next election we may live in a nation with a Republican president and both houses of Congress ruled by Republicans. Imagine the nightmare that would be.
