think that the if the first interaction with "treatment" is in jail or prison, that's alright. Other countries - Canada, Israel, Switzerland are as armed as the US with no where near the gun violence. The difference is that mental health treatment is public policy. Nations with very tough gun policies have these terrible things, too - Britain and Norway both have had horrific shooting events.

The President is right. Emotions are way too raw to discuss "gun control" right now. The viterol is way too thick.
