I am 40, so have grown up without these struggles... but I pay attention to history and see that people had to fight for these things people take for granted. I don't think they understand what they are doing.... Ann hathaway was on the today show this morning talking about les miserables and talking about her character and having to sell her body to have money for her kid. she said, they didn't have a safety net. kudos to her for that. I see them dismantling the safety net and any safeguards we have had in place to protect the workers and it scares me. I hope we don't have to find out what it was like back then. I fear we might.
