Paying a fair share is one thing, but an income tax rate that back in the 60s and 70s ranged at times between 75-90% for top earners was a bit extreme.

Not in my opinion. A progressive tax makes sense to me, but taxing what a person owns...

that's a temporary marginal rate on income over a million euro. not on all his income.

OK. So if someone earns 10 million euro, they will pay 75% tax on 9 million of that.
