If you have the time, and if there are other potential sources, you can call around to Walgreen's, CVS, and so on. Both my late MIL and one of my friends without insurance made it a practice, in order to get the best prices. (As it happens, the nearest WalMart to us is 40 or 50 miles away, so we don't even have to stress about that choice.) Costco also has a pharmacy, and you do NOT need to be a member to use it, so that is another potential source, though I have no idea if they beat WalMart's prices.
Best of luck, both you and your ex. Hard times.

If you really meant that, you would not accuse me of being someone I'm not.

My local supermarket has $4 scripts. There might be one near you. However,

I wouldn't blame you at all. It's not your fault and do take advantage of the deal.

Wow. Another insult/snotty snarky retort. Hope you never need a veterinarian.

I HATE Walmart too and I was successful in my personal boycott of their stores for more than 3 years

That's human nature -- unless/until it happens to us, we just don't (can't) understand.

Just do what you gotta do. If it gets to be too much, stop. You'll know when/if that time comes.

No, it's not bad. Go wherever you can get the scripts filled at a good price.

Please do not pick and choose which scripts to fill without consulting the pharmacist !!

I guess I have been to many bad pharmacists, because I have never ONCE been asked that question.

Evaluate your priorities. Politics shouldn't be a consideration in this case. n/t
