The Quakers engaged with him and tried to reason, but he was such a jerk it was hard not to want to punch him in the face. My husband finally joined in and said something like, 'Yeah. Thanks for stopping. I think it's time you move along now."
So, yeah, I'm kind of a pacifist. But, I have impure thoughts.
I support our involvement in WWII, but that's a complicated one. There's a few newish books out there that could change my mind. IIRC, the premise is that Churchill caused that war, also about how the injustices of WWI caused it. Not sounding to me now very likely to change my mind, so there must have been more to it. Will have to check my "to read" list.
