(16,254 posts)I got up because I couldn't sleep and checked the weather for today. It was 57 degrees at 3:30 am with a little light drizzle...light enough you could only see it on the cement. With the exception of 3 or so days, our temps have been in the 50-70s for highs. I think today is when it's supposed to hit 70 AGAIN.
I looked out a week ago to see 5 new clematis blooms. The vines had gone dormant, but are half green again and there are 5 blooms. That night, it got down to the 20s, so I figured that would be the end of that. It is still blooming, although they earlier ones have dropped the petals and they are forming seed pods.
Most of my flowerbeds are perennials and some of them are coming up. It appears this week will stay in the 40-50s until the weekend, which will slide down to the 30-40s. We haven't had snow on Christmas Eve for 4 years.
