(3,596 posts)I think she is used to "winning" and so this loss must come at her pretty hard.
There was the potential excitement of the inauguration, the glitter of the inaugural balls and the American "throne", such as it is.
But I really don't think she was looking forward to being First Lady. It is a JOB. Yes it is a job with many perks but she would have to actually serve, or appear to serve, the nation. That would mean all manner of social events and finding a "cause" to champion and fight for.
I don't think she was really looking forward to that. I think she had aspirations of "royalty" but without any sense of the duty that accompanies the position.
But she definitely came across as arrogant and self-serving. So not only am I glad we don't have two destroyers as President and Vice President but I think the nation and the world are much better served by Barack and Michelle.
