In fact just the opposite. Apologized and turned it down. Seemed like a nice kid and I thanked him for being so. If he had reacted badly and threatened me or assaulted me I would have defended myself as best I could. Seeing as how I am not a gun dealer, or one who carries guns around with me I wouldn't have shot him, no. And BTW, it did hurt my ears and my head. Sounds can hurt. Not only that but I wasn't the one breaking the law.

Let's turn your question around and ask why some people think they have the right to impose their incredibly loud 'music' on everyone else when they could just suck it up and turn it down.
